1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Expertro website and platform (“Expertro”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the site.
2. About Expertro
Expertro is a platform that helps customers (“Clients”) find and connect with service providers and other professionals (“Pros”), for example transport providers, trades and event suppliers. We are a facilitator: we are not a transport operator, tradesperson or staffing company. We enable the posting of a requirement (a “lead”) and allow Pros to respond.
Any agreement for services is made directly between Client and Pro. We are not a party to that services contract, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any services provided by Pros.
3. Accounts & eligibility
- You must provide accurate, current details when registering.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the platform, or submit fraudulent or misleading leads/responses.
- Businesses must ensure they have the licences, insurances and approvals required to offer their services.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the platform as a Pro.
- If you request that your account is deleted, or if we permanently close your account, all active subscriptions will be cancelled and any remaining credits will be lost. This is irreversible and balances cannot be restored or transferred to another account.
4. Using the platform
Clients can submit requests for services (for example airport transfers, wedding transport, roof repairs or other jobs). These are recorded as leads in the system. Pros with access to that category/location may view and respond, subject to any subscription, pass or credit model you’ve agreed with us.
You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest or bulk-download leads or user data;
- misrepresent your identity, business, qualifications or insurance;
- use the platform for unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or spam activity;
- circumvent any payment, commission or subscription mechanism we use;
- encourage Clients or Pros to breach these Terms.
5. Service providers (Pros)
If you are responding to leads as a Pro:
- you must only contact the Client in relation to the specific lead and must not use their details for unrelated marketing without their consent;
- you must provide honest pricing, availability and service descriptions;
- you are solely responsible for fulfilling the service safely, legally and to a professional standard;
- you must comply with applicable transport, licensing, professional and data protection laws;
- you must promptly tell us if you become aware that a lead is clearly fraudulent or abusive.
6. Payments, subscriptions & fees
6.1 Subscriptions
- Pros may purchase a subscription to access leads or features. The subscription price, length and renewal terms will be shown before you pay.
- Once paid, a subscription is valid until the end of the current subscription period.
- Subscriptions continue until you cancel them, where applicable, in your account or via the Stripe customer portal (if enabled).
- Subscriptions are not refundable, including where you choose not to use the platform for the remainder of the subscription period.
6.2 Credits
- Leads may require credits to view the full lead details or contact the Client.
- Credits may be purchased directly or included as part of a subscription or promotional offer.
- Credits are not refundable and have no cash value.
- Credits and subscriptions cannot be transferred between accounts.
6.3 Fake leads & credit claims
- If you spend credits on a lead which you reasonably believe to be fake or clearly invalid (for example, clearly incorrect contact details), you may raise a claim with us.
- We may ask you for evidence (for example call logs, emails or message screenshots) so we can assess the claim.
- If we agree that the lead is fake or invalid, we may, at our discretion, return the credits to your account. We are not obliged to refund or credit every disputed lead.
6.4 Commission on jobs won
- We may charge commission on jobs that are won via the platform.
- We only charge commission on jobs marked as “won” by a Pro (or otherwise recorded as won through the platform).
- When a Pro wins a job, they will be issued a commission invoice. The commission amount is clearly shown on the lead before you choose to respond or accept the job.
- Commission invoices are payable within 7 days. Non-payment of commission may result in your account being suspended, even if you have an active subscription or remaining credits.
6.5 Stripe payments & renewals
- All payments and subscriptions on Expertro are processed securely via Stripe.com or other comparable payment processors we may use from time to time.
- We do not store your full card details on our servers.
- Where a subscription is set to renew automatically, you must cancel the subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to continue.
- If a subscription renews, we cannot refund that renewal payment. It is your responsibility to cancel in time.
- If Stripe or your bank reverses a payment (chargeback) or a payment fails, we may suspend your access to leads or your account until the outstanding balance is settled.
6.6 Pricing changes
- We may change our pricing, fees or commission rates from time to time. Where we do this, we will aim to give reasonable notice by email or on the platform.
- New prices will not affect subscriptions or credits already purchased for a period that has begun, but will apply to renewals, new purchases and new leads after the change takes effect.
7. Your content
When you submit content (lead details, company description, images, reviews, messages) you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, store, modify and distribute that content as necessary to operate and promote the platform.
You confirm that:
- you have the right to provide that content;
- the content is accurate and not misleading;
- the content does not infringe the rights of others or contain illegal or offensive material.
We may remove or edit content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, the law or the rights of others.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
We provide the platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that a Client will receive a quote or that a Pro will win work, nor do we guarantee any particular volume of leads.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:
- loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts or anticipated savings;
- loss or corruption of data;
- any indirect, consequential or special loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the platform;
- any issues or disputes between Clients and Pros, including but not limited to quality of service, cancellations, delays or damage.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Suspension, cancellation & deletion
- We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, misuse data from the platform, fail to pay fees or commission when due, or act in a way that may harm other users or Expertro.
- We may also suspend or restrict your access if we reasonably suspect fraud, chargebacks or payment disputes.
- You may request closure of your account at any time by contacting us or via any available self-service option on the platform.
- On deletion of an account (whether by you or by us):
- all active subscriptions are cancelled with immediate effect;
- any remaining credits are lost and cannot be refunded, restored or transferred; and
- your access to leads, historic messages and other account data will be removed or limited as set out in our Privacy Policy.
- Closing or suspending an account does not remove your obligation to pay any outstanding fees, commission or invoices that were incurred before closure.
10. General
- We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a new version on the site and updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.
- These Terms, together with any other documents or policies referenced here, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the platform.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with them.
- If you have any questions about these Terms, you can contact us at: support@expertro.co.uk.
